Resources to help you find what you need in the Urban World
Urban is more than streets, people, buildings and plants...
it's an attitude, it's complex, it's a journey, it's in your face...
and there's always more to it than you think.

- Cool quotes - are useful for explaining to people about why or how one goes about the Planning process. Suggest some more. Moved to HOT LINKS.
- The lists of Urban Planning Schools and Professional Organizations are here because I couldn't find complete lists anywhere else. I am still working on the Local Government Groups.
- Urban Organizations has links to groups that cities might like to join. Its often hard to know how to take you City global, but you may well start here.
- Research Resources is a list of websites which are likely to prove useful if you need information quickly. Use the filter to search the list for the topic you need information on. Using Google is another option, but this is a list of sites that I have checked to ensure credibility and relevance.
- Research Institutions is a list of websites for the, usually, university based institutions doing cutting edge and solid work on some aspect of the Urban World.
- Urban Journals and Urban Magazines are often good resources with search functions for their archives.
- Urban Photography is a good resource for images to compliment your documents, but be sure to check on the copyright requirements for any images used. Contact me for hints, or for sources of easily available free images.
- Anticipating the Future has links to Think Tanks and organizations that are all about telling us what is in our future.
- Developing World is about Centres that concentrate on the needs and issues of the Developing World... more to come.
- Geopolitics, Urban Transport and Urban Technology are the first of a number of more general sub-categories.
- New Publications contains direct links to the new works sections of some of the major publishing houses - also have a look in the USI Urban Bookshops.
- Reference Documents is being developed slowly...
